Young Thug reveals the Lil Wayne-inspired title of his upcoming effort.

For those of you who thought you'd never see a Carter VI, its now looking like a real possibility-- though it won't be Lil Wayne on the mic. According toYoung Thug-- who has continuously cited Wayne as his sole influence --his next project will be titled Carter VI.
“I just feel like I’m that big,” said Thug, speaking to DJ Whoo Kid on the title. “Cause he feel like after Tha Carter V he ain’t gonna make no more music. Cause he feel like can’t nobody make music like that,” explained the rapper, alluding to the fact that he took Wayne's claim as a challenge. "I'm going straight at his ass".
Thugger also spoke of his experience at SXSW, which he almost didn't attend. “Fuck yeah, I enjoyed it. I didn’t even wanna go at first, man," he said. "When I [stayed] there for like three, four days. Oh yeah, I ain’t never missing the next one. I feel like if I did step into the world I wouldn’t feel like it’s no competition.”

Lil Wayne puts his money where his mouth is, demanding Birdman pay him $8 million and free him from Cash Money.

After almost two months of Lil Wayne complaining about his record label, it looks like he's finally doing something legal about it. The Cash Money/Young Money MC will target CEO Birdman in a suit that will ask for both $8 million and Wayne's freedom from the label.
TMZ reports that Birdman owes Lil Wayne that $8 mil as an advance for Tha Carter V that hasn't been paid yet. In addition to this, Wayne is alleging that Birdman is violating their contract by continually withholding release of the project.

Shooting At Chris Brown Show Injures Five

Chris Brown's club appearance in San Jose ended with five gunshot victims.

For whatever reason, Chris Brown tends to attract gunfire when he makes a club appearance. Last year, an event he attended ended with Suge Knight being shot six times, and last night, a similar incident found five injured in San Jose.
While performing his hit single, "Loyal" for a crowd at Fiesta Nightclub, a fight broke out among some attendees. Video footage of the performance actually shows Chris reacting to the ruckus in the audience, very clearly underestimating the severity of the situation, as he laughs about fans "getting it in over there" before shots ring out and he's rushed out of the venue.

According to a local news report, 4 were found wounded on-site, while a fifth made their way to the emergency room later on. All victims are expected to survive, though the details of their conditions have not been released.
Brown himself alerted fans of his safety on Twitter minutes after the shooting occurred. View footage from the event below. His since-deleted tweet can be viewed in the gallery above.
